one 100 years ago in the world
One hundred years ago today,
The dawn broke, so dark and gray.

One hundred years ago today,
An old man felt his life, just slip away.

One hundred years ago today,
An old woman knelt to pray.

One hundred years ago today,
A mother's child ran away.

One hundred years ago today,
A woman begged her husband to stay.

One hundred years ago today,
A child was born, another passed away.

One hundred years ago today,
The sun set, it is dark and gray.
