Remembering my childhood, and how simple life seems when you are a child.
I wish I could go back

to a simpler time

When I was young

when I was free

When I could even

climb a tree.

I wish I could go back

to a simpler time

When I ate popsicle

on my front porch

All day long.

I wish I could go back

to a simpler time

When I could ride

my bike

Without fear of

being taken away.

I wish I could go back

to a simpler time

When mom and dad

did all the worrying.

I wish I could go back

to a simpler time

Back to Jamaica

where I grew up

To soak up some sun

and pick fruits all day long.

We could all go back

to a simpler time

All you have to do

is free your mind

Let it wander and

explore life's childhood

treasures

and only then will

you know how your

worth is measured.
