If only she could tell you, how it felt
When life closed on her
She felt there was no escape
Scrutinized and enslaved
She was condemned by morals ,
consumed by their neglect, lust and horror
Watching her plight from afar , their sight slowly grew weary
Her existence , this abomination ; it had to end
They dragged her lifeless body to the sea
The sadness, the pain, the torture , they said it had driven her insane .
They slowly let her drown and stood afar
Watching the waves crashing down on her
The depth of the water was of no measure ,
Such profound were her sorrows, deep were her troubles
In which she wallowed .
The air was chilly and the hearts were cold,
The darkness surrounding them cast a shadow on their souls .
They wailed and grieved , and waited impatiently
For her to be swallowed whole by the sea
Their actions dignified and a life condemned ,
In the end their faith reigned supreme
