Faith and Joy
Lisa Noe

“My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
--James 1:2-4

Joy will come to those who resist temptation, If you ask of God for something then you are proving you have faith, and faith in God is joy.

I have so much joy in my life and I did not have it before when I was a sinner of high standing.  I paid no mind to religion or anything spiritual, I just wanted to have fun and live the way I wanted to.

Then something happened, I felt bad about something I had done. My conscience was bothering me, and I needed to cure myself of these feelings.  I found a book my sister had given me years before, The Holy Bible. I opened it and began reading, when I saw that I could change myself and become a totally new person in Christ.  It was like I had been born again. I felt such a joy in my heart and soul, I wanted to share it with everyone.  I was a sinner but Jesus washed me clean.

With God I will want for nothing I will prove my love for him through my works, which shall be perfect. For God likes things done to the best of my ability. If I share of myself with people and share my faith I will know great joy.In Matthew 10:3 John the Baptist tells about the promised one, and how he is perfect in all his ways.  We shall pattern our life after him and we to can know great joy.

To count it all joy is to do that  which is right in the site of God, and have faith unfaltering.  When we prove our faith to God he will reward our life with riches—not the kind of gold—but the kind of happiness, he will bless our life, giving us a family and friends, or a job.

To God it does not matter what denomination we are, but that we are good people, filled with joy and love.  And that we have faith and good works. He cares how we interact with others, but if you have all of these qualities you will know joy. And in knowing joy we are forgiven of our sins so we can rejoice.
