Chopper was a beautiful Blue Russian cat. He loved his family and Morticia. Morticia was a kitten when the two met. I had found and ad for free kittens, and I could not help wanting to get two year old Chopper a friend for the days that we had to be away from the house.

The door bell rang. When we opened the door there stood two women holding a animal carrier. I ushered them into the house. Chopper had to check out what we were doing from under the table.

We open the door. Four little kittens roamed slowly out. I wanted a smokey yellow female kitten. Jason wanted a beautiful gray one. We could not make up our minds. However, Chopper hissed at each one that came near the shoe that he was peeking from behind. Then the smallest kitten of them all walked over to Chopper, and of course he hissed. The grey tabby didn't run. Instead she just snuggled down beside the angry Chopper.

“I guess that the kitten chose for us.” we told the lady. They leave with the other three kittens.

From that day to this, that kitten has been queen of the house. Chopper is our king, but he stands back and allows Morticia to eat first. She calls the shots. She calls and he runs. I am so glad that love each other even though they work together to run across me as I sleep. I think that they want everyone a wake if they are.
