This was my coming out of cutting. It shows the fear as my outward persona shattered.
Nothing is wrong with me.
I'm okay.
It's just my mask is breaking off
And I'm afraid.

Of what people will think of me
Of what they might say.
Once my face is really shown
Who will stay?

But nothing is wrong with me
It's everyone else.
Who's business is it anyways
If I cut myself?

It let's me feel control and power,
Endorphins running through my veins.
It's just my own damn punishment
For causing others pain.

Nothing is wrong with me,
As I look into the mirror
And think of all the tears
Through all of those years
That I thought that
Nothing was wrong with me

But that mirror is shattering
And my reflection with it too
I'm a torn picture in a cut up frame
And it's time for me to tell the truth
It's time for me to make my debut

Something is wrong with me.
I'm not okay.
It's just my mask is breaking off
And I'm afraid.

That something is wrong with me.
Something is wrong with me.
