Take me back to when I was younger
those days were so much better
nothing to desturb us in our slumber
now we can only sleep when were not sober

when we were kids it was the best time
never a worry on our mind
rulers of the world from our sandbox
it was make believe but we still believed..

everything happened for a reason
everyone lived forever
every month was december
everyone could play together

then we grow old and realize
we were all living in our own lies
we never look back on our own time
becuase we only close our own eyes

30 seconds is a lifetime
but its not enough time
ive seen it pass through his own eyes
he was ten and it was the end and i didn't cry

i thought it was make belive
i figured he moved down the street
but his name written on the ground
why is life so profound? we were just kids.
