A collection of random bits of poetry.
Poisonous.
My world is breaking from hate,
and you engrave bitter words across its face.
Nothing to fear from pain,
only the scar that remains -
a stain that never fades,
a shadow the sun creates and cannot chase away.
A darker shade is my disdain,
the blood that courses through my veins -
there is no deeper taint.
Poisoned.
Yet, I would have it no other way.

.........................................

The sun is too bright for my dark eyes...
How can I live in the light, when I have tasted of the night?
Shadows lick - slow spirals - down my spine,
claim possession of my mind.
We share the dawn, you and I,
but deep inside,
I crave only the touch of moonlight.
You walk in sunshine - and I will not follow.
The darkness is mine.

............................................

When the rain finally falls and fills the silent places of the earth with song.
When the wind sighs a lullaby and the trees sing along.
When the orange of dawn covers the stars.
And I can say only words.

.............................................
(this was in response to some lines a friend wrote... it is a little rough-sounding out of context)

Stopped to sit upon the strand,
buried my hands in the sand
and there, made my stand.
The world could wait while I watched waves break,
the water never enough to satiate the shore.
I wondered if wanting more was to be abhorred -
the sea, a whore always moaning 'mon amour!'
against the skin of different men
when she found there was no zen to be had.
I could adore such a paramour...
did she not keep such an open door.
