A dark poem about hiding from all that has been done and waiting for a chance to be reborn |
- Crawl Back Inside- by Keaton Foster Crawl back inside Back into the depths Back into your cave of regret Where all that you Have ever done is kept. Never dare come out The world out here This frozen wilderness Is far too hostile for you There are plenty of creatures abound That could rip you limb from limb. Creatures with teeth and claws Eternally stained bloody red Creatures of unrelenting hatred Creatures devoid of a cause But ripe with purpose. You did all that you did Because for a time You were sure it was right And I above all know that What was right to you Has always been highly skewed. I know that life has never been fair The game has always been fixed Those who make the rules Have always had the most to lose Those who play are merely spectators Forced in every conceivable way. Crawl back inside Stay there for as long as it takes Clarity will let you know When it’s ok to return to living Until then do your best to keep from dying. Seek your forgiveness When the time is right When God himself lessons what it means To be seen as one of his sacred lambs In a world of increasingly more wolves. Only then will you be free Only then can your return as a beast And not as a meal ready to be consumed By the truth of the many lies told. Crawl back inside Dare not show your hide Let no one know where you are Ever if they scream your name In pain or in absolute rage. Remain forever silent if that is what it takes Rush nothing with regard to your case God will let you know and if he don’t Then where you must go Is where you always must remain… Crawl Back Inside Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
