The Solemness of a Sunrise Surprise
Would a summer day be best on the eve,
Of a blossoming love prepared to rise,
Upon which loving souls shall ever cleave?
Would the day suffice in another guise?
'Tis the true way that my youthful heart flies;
In giving my love to my would be bride.
The solemness of a sunrise surprise
Shall serve as a setting on the high tide.
A ring in my hand, standing by her side,
The question on my lips, beckoning truth.
Why does my fear come along for the ride?
Is this not a love made for tender youth?
Be still, fall to the sand and hold her hand;
Will her heart be moved to an answer grand?
