A story of separated star-crossed lovers has a good ending. |
"Years Of Miles, and Miles Of Years" Years of miles between us, indeed it is true, sadly as it may seem. Life lost its luster; we lost love's sheen. We choked on illusions of abandonment, severed future ideas most intimate. A wicked judge, set above and beneath all things fervent defended her tasks to offend, and forced us to a furious end. Wounds weighed and counted for naught, endless perils in which we fought unbearable agony and absences. We were doomed to endure the restlessness. I wandered through life's cruel, relentless maze, as you wondered; both shrouded in a mysterious haze. My gasp later pretended to be only a sigh, while sadness and truth nodded unwillingly nigh. Miles of Years behind us, love transcends time and space. Memories move out of the frightened place. Our wisps of breath scattered as dandelion seeds stretching limits to meet all survival needs. Yet, in spirit, breathing was shared. Youth's innocence, intentions bound proved truly paired. Star-crossed, our paths came together again. Now answers to questions; we can only ascertain. Treading carefully not to injure or bruise, we make peace with past and life's abuse. Magic imprinted on our souls long ago. Circumstances unkind left hearts alone and cold. Cosmic dreamers journeyed into the night. Supernatural powers prevailed; all is right. Years of miles between us, this may be true, simply now as it may seem. Life has luster, and love has lasting sheen. |
