What can man do to me?
Can man yell?
Shout?
Curse?
Yes.
What can man do to me?
Can man whip?
Hit?
Burn?
Yes.
What can man do to me?
Can man imprison?
Execute?
Beat?
Yes.
What can man do to me?
Can man kill?
Yes.
What loss is it if man can kill?
What loss?
I will stand face-to-face with my Savior.
Basking in His eternal glory.
As it is written, “The LORD is on my side; I shall not fear.”
How, then, can man do anything to me
If my God is on my side?
I shall go into battle without fear of the worldly pain and suffering
Man can do to me.
Man can do nothing that lasts beyond this world
Which is but a quick vapor
Of sorrows, pain, and death.
As it is written, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
How, then, can man do anything
If to die is gain?
The world can do nothing to me that will last for eternity
Except give me a chance
To lead them to the only One.
What can man do to me?
Nothing.
