Do you know these words?

"Perspicuity incarnate," replied Q.

Leave it to a character like Q on Star Trek: the Next Generation to come up with a phrase that made me hit the dictionary.

So here are some synonyms:

1. clarity, plainness, intelligibility. 2. transparency. 3. Perspicuity, perspicacity are both derived from a Latin word meaning “to see through.” Perspicacity refers to the power of seeing clearly, to clearness of insight or judgment: a person of acute perspicacity; the perspicacity of his judgment. Perspicuity refers to something that can be seen through, i.e., to lucidity, clearness of style or exposition, freedom from obscurity: the perspicuity of her argument.

So Q was insulting Captain Picard of course, with vocabulary over my head..

More additions as I run across them.
