'Dare jus' what you'se need
Crawdads

Food ‘dat scares ‘da neophyte
Try some now and you jus’ might
Like ‘dees critters much more,
‘dan you’se ever ‘tawt before

‘Dey makes up part ‘da key menu
When you come on ‘da bayou
‘Dare free to ‘does ‘dat aren’t afraid
To walk in ‘da swamp, to make ‘da grade

Sumptuous fare ‘dare’s no denyin’
‘Dat’s for sure, an’ I’m not lyin’
Oh, ‘da spices an’ crab boil
Make light ‘da work, ‘dat’s no toil

You must eat ‘da tail, an’ suck ‘da head
I don’t cares what ‘da ‘udders said
Dive in an’ eats, a whole bunch
You’se never had a better lunch

You’se can’t turn down ‘dis my offer
‘Dey cames from my bayou coffer
Please eat now, while ‘dare hot
‘Dares so much mores, in my pot

‘Taters, corn and whole garlics
‘Dats some of ‘da pot’s hidden tricks
‘Da Andouille in ‘da pot, is a must
You have to believe, an’ in me, trust

Doan’ go away unless you’re full
Doan’ like ‘dis here, ‘den try, ‘da pork ‘dat I pull
You mus’ try my heart’s delight
‘Dem crawdads, ‘dare now done, jus’ right

"Come see", for me
To be, On 'da lea
"Jus’ you an’ me,
An’ ‘da crawdads, baby"
