World around us



My, my how you’ve changed since I, I last looked at you and smiled

You were such a pretty face

Now, now when I look at you it all seems so strange

I hardly know you at all



Were as far apart as those stars that burn deep in space

And any love we shared has long been forgotten

Lost without a trace



And everyday we seem to change like the world around us

We could walk but choose to run I guess it’s always been that way



Why, why do we rearrange endlessly chop and change

What seemed right before

Soon we’ll talk about old days how everything has changed

Re-living yesterday



All were put through all we believe in even everything we learn

Becomes a faded memory

As the hands of time swiftly turn



And everyday we seem to change like the world around us

Times don’t change people change

Forever growing forever changing the world around us
