  "Good morning sweety." Josh smiles, reaching over and kissing me gently. I kiss back, and smile. Sunlight streams in through the window, hitting Josh perfectly and making him look like an angel.

  "It's a gorgeous day." I smile, walking over to the window. I look over at the clock, it's eleven. I yawn, and walk slowly into our small kitchen, leaving Josh in the bedroom. I make a mug of hot chocolate, and sit at the table.

  "I'm going out at noon." Josh states, strolling into the room with a big smile on his face. He sits down at the table across from me, grabbing an orange from the bowl on the table.

  "You seem happy today." I answer, looking into his sparkling blue eyes.

  "I'm meeting an old friend in a few minutes, will you be ok alone for a while?" Josh replies.

  "Yeah, I'll take Appy out for a ride." I say, images of my beautiful appaloosa horse flowing through my mind, making me smile excitedly. Maybe I'll take him down to the river..

  "Ok then, sounds good. I will see you later then." He kisses me, then grabs his jacket and walks out the door. I sigh, and put my now empty mug in the dishwasher. Slipping on my sweater and shoes, I head outside. Within half an hour, I have Appy groomed, tacked up and ready to be ridden. I mount, and then start riding towards the river.

  I get to the river and start riding carefully down the side of the river on the rocks. Suddenly, I am completely shocked. Josh is sitting on the rocks, kissing another girl! It looked extremely passionate. My heart is instantly shattered, my love destroyed in a matter of seconds. Appy snorts, and they both spin around instantly to face me. Josh gasps, and my eyes start watering.

  "Ash-" Josh starts, a sad, scared look on his face, but stops when I start to cry. Without thinking, I start riding Appy across the fast, rushing river. Behind me I hear Josh gasp and call out my name. hesitantly, I stop and turn, which was a very big mistake. Appy slips on a rock, and I fall.

  "Ash!" Josh yells, right before I crash into the freezing cold water. Water rushes into my mouth as I gag underwater. I come up to the surface, coughing and gasping for air. I'm gonna die!! I'm pulled back under the water, struggling against the strong current. Within just a few seconds, I'm back up at the surface. I'm now crying, not only from sadness, but from pain. I have a cut on my left arm, caused by a stick I hit underwater. The water is making my cut sting immensly, I wince while trying to stay above water.

  "Hep!" I choke. Somehow, Josh hears me.

  "Hold on Ash!" Josh calls back. I see the girl talking rapidly into her cell phone, probably talking to police or paramedics. Appy is safe on the rocks, water dripping from his soaked coat. Once again I'm pulled underwater. I try swimming back to the surface, but the strong current is pushing me down. Running out of air, I picture Josh in my mind. I feel myself fade away...... My last thoughts were 'I love you.'
