On a happier note...a poem/story I wrote just for fun (:
The woods are empty, the woods are bare,
the trees are lonely, there's no one there,
the forest is quiet, the forest is sleeping,
so through it, I went slowly creeping,
when I saw a movement, I heard a strange sound,
but nothing was there when I looked around,
resuming my strides, I stared at the ground,
when I spied footprints of a beast.
I looked up, only to see,
the beast staring right back at me,
his mane was full of dirt,
and a golden coat was his beautiful shirt,
his eyes were distressed, he must've been hurt,
so I bravely approached the beast.
I reached out my hand for him to smell,
and eventually, his big head fell,
and I thought I must at least,
try to help the timid beast.
I said, "now beast, what brings you distress?"
He answered, "this lasting pain in my chest."
So I laid my hand upon his breast,
and sure enough, his heart was skipping a beat.
"Beast," I said, "what's wrong with your heart?"
"Someone," he said, "has tore it apart,
not with an arrow, a sword, or a dart,
but surely it is broken."
"Well beast," I swiftly replied,
"has someone you loved recently died?"
"No, no!" the beast cried,
"No, I am just broken."
"Beast," I said "your heart will mend."
He coked his head to the side and asked "when?"
and I let him know, "In good time, my friend,
for broken hearts are not fatal."
He questioned, "how does one end up with this heart break?
And why is this pain something I can't shake?
I don't know how much more I can take,
for my heart is nearly killing me."
"No beast," I said with a hint of a grin,
"just give it time to grow together again,
and once it does, I am sure then,
you'll be feeling good as new."
"Thank you," he said, "for being so kind,
I'll positively pay you back in time."
And as I turned to leave, I heard from behind,
the beast let out a sigh.
But, I knew that the beast would eventually heal,
and I understand if you don't think this story is real,
most believe beasts aren't able to feel,
but even beasts can break their hearts.
