Poem about first love, simple really |
First Held Hands This hand, a heart, concealed within, For you to take and ignore my sin, Filled with fear I held it there, My past open, and body bare. You took, and held, the world ours, To leave our mark upon the stars, Drifting down, the dark above, Clouded minds with blind first love. We had it all, and we had it here, A lover’s love, nothing to fear, But the worm within the apple lurked, Leaving rot, and hate and hurt. We grasped at love, but we were burnt, And with that pain our lesson learnt, We made a home, but within the walls, Found home may not be where the heart is after all. My heart once held within my hand, But nothing went as was planned, Left in dark, abyssal hell, Filled with tears that never fell. |
