A Dreamer's Lost Love

As the beautiful midnight sun was setting against the dark blue sky
I stand there with my feet wading in the Caribbean water I start to cry.

As the tears roll down my face, the stars start to shine bright
I wipe the tears away as I peer into the colorless summer night.

The sky stares back at me with an unfamiliar emptiness
