Just something on the heart
Two years and seven months
laid to waste on an uncaring heart
Two years and seven months
a little girl played
for the body she displayed.

Innocence so harshly broken
knowledge forcibly gained
a little girl once whole
ripped to ribbons
once you finished your game.

Was it all just for grins
or did I ever mean a thing?
I was so young, and innocent
I couldn’t see your guile and deceit,
you stole from me the very thing

that I treasured most,
the one thing that can never
be regained.
You lied to my face
as you stabbed me in the back.

You never looked back until I
found the light. You came to reclaim
the treasure you'd thrown away,
but a knight had come a long to
fill the space you left behind.

Two years and sevens
all to be forgotten memories.
Two years and seven months
that will never be anything more
then a mistake I made

On a boy who knew
who to play the games
of the heart on a
little girl filled with the
innocence of trust and love.
