A Poem A Day Entry. (Form:Rhymed Abecedarian Poem} |
Autumn Passage Azured skies give way to gray; Billowy clouds have gone away. Crimson and gold tint the trees. Days are shorter and the breeze Extracts what little heat is left. Fall has passed. I feel bereft. Gone are the lazy summer days; Here, only my memory still plays In glowing fields of daffodils. Jonquils, wild upon the hills, Kaffir Lilies, bold and bright, Like flowing rivers in the light Meander aimlessly, it seems. Now, they sleep in quiet dreams Of dancing once more in sunbeams. Patiently, beneath dry grasses, Quietly, until time passes, Returning them to their glory. Such is their never-ending story. Tristful days now lie ahead Until, as I arise from bed Viewing a new world of allure, White and clean and pure. Xanthic light now reveals Yawning stretches and conceals Zealously what's yet to be.
