Save you from yourself.
It was night, and I was wandering alone
Into the wilderness, searching for The Light
I looked up at the stars that shone
And they guided me all through the night.
I saw a cottage, a very old one indeed
On the porch sat a woman, gazing at me
I asked her if she had seen The Light
She pointed towards something in the dark night.
Amused, I stared in that direction but saw nothing
Baffled and intrigued, I started walking toward where she pointed
I walked and walked, from the dusk to the dawn searching
There was no trace of The Light, but I kept going on undaunted
I searched here and there and everywhere else, but all in vain
I closed my eyes and thought about the darkness in my life that prevailed
Darkness that encompassed failures, heartbreaks and everlasting pain
A premonition of storm, a forecast of gales
In which I’ll be trapped, which will take me down, deep down into the abyss
I had not found my weapon, I hadn’t found The Light
I could see my doom, the fatal fall lingered  in front of my eyes
But then the image of that old lady came flashing in my mind
With the same look, she pointed at something again
and then came my saviour, everything went bright
Suddenly the darkness was gone, I felt stronger than before
I looked around but there was nothing I could see
Just a pinching feeling within myself, deep in my core
I had found The Light, and it was in me!
