The Light

The Light



Pain is caused

At the thought of death and decay

Some tears of sorrow

And others distress and dismay



Where they see the darkness

I see the light

They see nothing

Yet my outlook is still bright



Where they see an end

I see the start

They think in darkness

They think with broken hearts



Some think of them as gone

But that’s not what I see

They think my outlook is bleak

But I know where I will be



They see blackness ahead

But for me it can’t be more bright

They strain to see what I see

They just don’t see the light



A place of beauty

Full of hope

A future so bight

Yet they think it’s a joke



Those whom many see as lost

I see all around

Many give up hope

But hope here is to be found



This is not a dream

It could not be more real

There is joy and peace in my future

And an abundance of it to feel
