True Colors

My heart is open,

Like a window most all the time in summer.

Casting a light like a prism in the sun.

some energy is amber,

some energy is green,

some is violet, that's one color that is good to me.

Amber is one that i know most well,

Over many years amber went to hell.

Green is an emerald that keeps me fed and a roof over my head.

Violet is one that just peeks out its crescent head,

Violet gets tarnished when it encounters red, then turns blue.

When blue takes over, it goes to my head.

Makes me say things like, I wish I were dead.

It's a kind thing for me that I desire,

To fill my surroundings with my hearts light of fire.

Show my true colors that's all I can do.

I know that sounds simple, yea that's true.

Closing my heart is so tempting to do, when I'm blue,

But keeping my heat open is the best thing to do,

It allows my heart's color to change and share it with you.
