If only...The dream..

You would think not talking to you

was a crime

for the guilty conscience that lays inside

4 years ago...

I was an innocent little girl

lost and confused in this

very cruel world

I was daddies little girl

I thought you'd do anything to see me

maybe even travel the world

I wish I could open my eyes

And find it was a dream

With you holding me close

saying its okay, please don't scream

If only that could happen

If only you cared

When you told this little girl

you'd always be there

Almost through my years

as a teenager

I am finally seeing life

from a different angle.
