So which was it? The princess had pointed it out.The door to the right. Was it the lady,or the tiger? He looked at her once again, but the seat beside the King was empty. Why would she leave? If it were the tiger he understood why but why would she lead him to his death? All these years he loved her.Would she do such a thing?Unless it was the lady behind this door and she left because he would have to marry the beautiful maiden and not her. After all,she knew what lay behind each door.He didn’t want to marry anyone else,he loved the princess with all his heart. He would rather get devoured by the hungry tiger than live unhappily with someone he did not love.He eyed the door to the left. The hungry tiger. He would pick the hungry tiger and die.He walked slowly to the door to the left. The crowd hushed,he could hear his own heartbeat now."This is for you princess"he whispered. The door slowly lifted. He closed his eyes and took a breath. He could heard the huge door lifting. It's chains screaming with the heavy weight. He heard a whisper and his eyes shot open. From behind the door he saw not one,but two women. It was her,the princess, she was in the back of the maiden but only he saw.The crowd cheered and awed. Her beauty was nothing compared to the princess, she whispered ”Hurry go” and motioned towards where the princess stood. She understood that he already had a lover and so did she.He launched towards the princess at the opened door and kissed her ever so lightly "So you would have died than live happily with the beautiful maiden?" She knew the door she gave him was the hungry tiger but he didn't know it.He had the thought the door to the right was the maiden.Yet,he chose the door to the left like she knew he would because he was that loyal. He would rather die than be with the maiden. ”I couldn’t bare to be without you.” She smiled and realized nothing can keep them apart. He grabbed her hand and ran into the jungle with his love. They were shrinking into the distance as he heard the crowd gasp and the King shout out orders. But no one would catch them now. They were free.
