What it's like to be in my head ...... |
There’s a place I often go to stay Pulled there, unrelenting, After days full of blues and gray I know it well, its walls, It’s floor The shadows in the corner, The slow creak as I open the door. And inside waits a figure, he’s always there. He won’t leave me alone Sitting, waiting, the black dog in his chair. And here we stay In a room for two At times I love him, But more, I hate him through and through. Stuck right here, In this room for two. He knows me well, my hopes, my dreams. It’s like he’s part of me, The two of us joined at the seams. And we sit in the room across from each other He’s my dark storm cloud My enemy, my devil, my brother. He’s a permanent resident, always there I know what I should do, And stay the hell away from here. But here we stay In a room for two At times I love him, But more, I hate him through and through. Stuck right here, In this room for two. I’ve tried letting others in to this room for two To help rid me of myself But it’s torn my very heart Left me hollow I’ve got that sense that this will always be solo. And here we stay In a room for two At times I love him, But more, I hate him through and through. Stuck right here, In this room for two. This is always going to be A room for two At times I love him, But more, I hate him through and through. Stuck right here, In this room for two. Gotta leave this room for two But I can’t stop loving him, Even though I hate him through and through. Stuck right here, In this room for two. Stuck right here In this room for two. |
