Everything Okay

I’ve been on pause
My feelings of fast forward and rewind are gone
A monk once said you will miss nothing standing still
I think he tried to tell me that I am stronger if I will

Tomorrows worries carry me about
As I disguise all the feelings I once had as doubts
A smile on my face covers the sadness in my heart
My friends all seem to like this mask which I deem to part

However I have to decide
If I will stay here or deny
A motion of emptiness emotional fill
Which I have noticed follows us all very well

I’ve taken a token to pay the toll
My eyes are swollen watery and welled
If they see I’m afraid they will know
What a wise monk once told me
That it is ok to show
