I wrote this poem following a visit to a Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Crook.
Inclemence

The floods came.
They took us away.
Fire filled the sky.
Thunder rumbles all around.

Lightning struck us down.
The winds struck us back.
Rain soaked our souls.
The Sun dried our skin.

Snow melted our minds.
A tornado twisted us in a spiral.
A hurricane flew through our hearts.
An explosion blew us apart.

Currents covered our veins.
Peace was hard to find.
We sailed the crest of a wave
waiting for the weather to behave
