A 24 line poem about envy.
I like his gold watch.
It is so expensive and new.
I want it so bad.
Mine is old and missing a screw.

His car is so nice.
It goes real fast and is bright red.
I have longed for it.
Mine smells and the battery’s dead.

His house is so large.
It has six bedrooms and two floors.
For it, I covet.
Mine leans and is missing some doors.

His wife is so fair
With eyes the color of honey.
I desire her.
My wife? She just asks for money.

He has a great job,
And he makes a real good living.
I yearn for such work.
My job sucks, I’m thinking of leaving.

His children are fun,
With good manners so well behaved.
I wish they were mine.
My children are shiftless, depraved.
