Harry Potter sighed as he stood at the top of a grassy hill on a dark night in June.  He gazed up at the twinkling stars overhead, focusing on one celestial body in particular.

“It's been another year,” he told the bright star, “and I still miss you.”

He paused and gave a small smile.

“The boys are growing up fast, and Ginny's expecting our third.  I'm hoping it'll be a girl this time.”

His smile faded, and his eyes misted.

“We gave the boys a dog this past Christmas.  James named it after you.  The little pup looks nothing like your Grim, but every time I hear that name called in the house,....”

Harry closed his eyes, and a single tear trickled down his cheek.

“I've got to go,” he said hoarsely.  “I love you.  See you next year,...Sirius.”
