in it's most diluted form; life goes on.
Ever was it not the same?
Just one thought in the reason garners all of the blame
From a body of work, like a blink in the black
Paying the Piper moves you forward, palming the change pulls you back
So much life flits around you, frantic hands stretch, but miss
Potential burdened by failure, heart paralyzed by Past's kiss
Suns continue to rise, Moons will still close your eyes
But Sandman can't change Dream's channel no matter how hard he tries
Plus the movement's not clockwork, the scene's less surreal
It's a stop-motion art flick that the hipsters don't feel
When to breathe means remember, hold your breath and forget
Waist deep in the Styx, but there's life to live yet
Spare a glance for the boatman, see his mirth if you choose
He knows that the dead never get soggy shoes
