Valentine's Day Poem

I am not very good at spilling my feelings
On paper, for you
I never really know
If you like it
Or just tell me you do
Because it’s Valentines’ Day

It’s not that I don’t know what to say
I am fairly articulate
But in that particular day
It sounds silly, and childish
It comes out all wrong
As if I have to be spilling my feelings
On paper
And you have to like it

So when Valentine’s Day comes
I just prefer you
Spill your feelings to me
So I can tell you I like it
A lot
Even if I don’t
