Am I Beautiful

I've heard it said many times

But the words, they sound so hollow

An empty statement

Pouring through sarcastic lips

I look at myself in the mirror

And as always, I fail to see it

My soul feels so empty inside

And lonliness has gotten it's grip on me

I've been alone for awhile now

And I keep telling myself I'm ok with that

But the heart wants what it wants

And my heart has been yearning

For the warmth of someones love

Time has brought upon me, many dark thoughts

Is it staring me right in the face?

And can I just not see it?

Am I too jaded to accept it?

I'm unsure of the answers I seek!

I feel this life has made me weak!
