A poem about learning from mistakes! |
Next Time Around There’s a point and time in everyone’s life when we wish we could go back So many changes that could be made to put our life back on the right track But I promise myself the next time around I will be much smarter Learn from the mistakes I’ve make and strive to work much harder This life I lead has been filled with greed which caused me most of my problems I wish I was able to turn back time I swear that I would solve them But wishing for that’s hopeless now its time to look ahead And push those thoughts on out my mind, forget what all’s been said Like you will never amount to nothing or your headed for an early death But listen up you Non Believers, No way that I’m done yet And I bet this next time around my actions wont be crazy I’ll learn to think before I act and never again be lazy I’ll use all of my life’s lessons and stand on my own two feet And watch for foes disguised as friends and learn to be discrete Take all advise with a grain of salt because sometime the truth does hurt Never sell myself short then I will truly realize my worth Yes, the next time around will be special with no more wasted actions Dispose of all my bad habits I used for satisfaction From now on my eyes are open, I’m no longer in the dark I’ve learned to put my faith in God and listen to my heart So the next time you see me there’s no way that I’ll be down I’m keeping my promise to myself this next time around Written By: Joseph J.
