Poem of different aspects of love and passion, the light and the dark
In the light you call for me
My name sounds like a caress from your lips
All your love and need poured into one word

Should I come to you, my love?
Would that make our lives fulfilled?
Or, shall I slyly keep just ahead?
To tempt and tease you and make you want me all the more

In the dark you reach for me
I feel your touch and with it your need
Powerful and demanding as it is

Do I turn to you, my heart?
Do I give you what you desire?
Or, feign sleep only to feel your arms
Arms that hold me gently yet firmly protect me.

In the light, I pause. I turn.
Feeling the soft warmth of my name as you speak it.
I wait. Deciding
Watching me. Wanting me. You await my choice.
I come to you and your love envelops me.
Not to tempt and tease, but to please and fulfill.

In the dark, I allow you to bring us face to face.
Your breath a featherlike caress upon my skin
Your arms enfold me within their strength
I submit to your need and desire
Only to find mine quenched as well
As light and dark merge within the glow of our desire.
