Your eyes it seemed
at first
an amber enchantment.

Now I see they
are hollow and empty.

Your lips seemed like the petals
described in my last song.

Now I see they are chapped from other pairs.

Your sincerity moved me,
made me believe
that a world can be kind
without personal gain.

Now I see you did have selfish intentions.

Although you did overcome me,
I am no longer under your spell.

Life is not only lust as you say.
Life is not only love as they say.
Now I see,the world of many things
And you-
You're another pebble in the gravel
which I walk on and crush bare with
a heal of dignity and pure truth.
