Stopping my Shine

I shine bright over the clouds in the midst of the sky.

My feelings are a burst of color in the waters reflection.

My head is constantly in the clouds. I try to come down but I fail.



I try to fill the Earth with light, but on cloudy days I feel failure.

My rays are trapped by the darkness that fills the air around me.

My happy and colorful thoughts turn gray.

My colors become black.

The ripples from the falling rain blur my reflection.

My day turns dark.



Then, my happy thoughts return when I realize that nothing can stop me from shining, even on my darkest days.
