about a girl I met and took my photo while I smoked
I watched a cigarette
burn in front of me
blew smoke
and watched intently
at it shiver smaller
gray
and to smoke.

a gorgeous blonde came (her name was bug)
to me
and took my picture.
we exchanged names and I blew smoke
and watched intently at
her leave
her ass large
her legs warm
like my cigarette.

I left and thought of giving her my number
but I don't have $$$
and she is lovely
and I'm a waste tonight
and I want to write.

but still I think
and sink
in my ink of thought and
shame.

what could've I have said:

"like this?"
"yes," she'll say with smiles.
"you're cute. my name is victor."
"bug. you in class?" more smiles.
"no, just got out. you?"
"with friends. want to go get a bite somewhere?" even more smiles.
"sure."

I could've said it.
but no
I'm here writing
of a past
I missed
and let go.
