a collection of words to express an idea or feeling
If I were but so worthy

as to lay my fevered brow

upon your welcome breast and close my eyes…

Reposing not in ardor

but content to mark your heartbeat

while drowsed beneath your softly murmured sighs.

Would not our Souls entwine then

and soar above green meadows

or climb atop blue glacial mountains high?

With glee and child-like wonder

would we gaze into the Heavens

and romp among the clouds

with rainbow-ed eyes?

Reclusing not in armor

but shedding loose the irons

of Earthen commonality and lies;

To live a life we dreamt once

when innocence and laughter

and Hope did all our worlds comprise.

If we were but so able

as to softly tread like Angels

this path between our once and future lives;

Forgiving one another

the Ghosts that still pursue us;

these Dead-Unburied from our storied lives.

Could not our Souls enfold Them

And grant a Peaceful Slumber;

Forever to repose there,

On Battlegrounds where Love so often dies?
