Getting it Back

He’s back in my life again.
He apologized last night.
I accepted it because I still love him.
But how long will it last.

He’s usually nice to me.
But sometimes he gets crabby.
That usually starts a fight.
Then we don’t talk.

But eventually one of us apologizes.
He mostly does though.
He usually starts it.
Then he feels bad later.

I usually give him time to cool off.
To get his head straight.
Get him to figure out that I’m important to him.
He always figures that out.

I think he still has feelings for me.
Even though he’s dating someone else.
If he didn’t have feelings for me.
Then why does he care so much.
