The Book, Broken Relationship because of it.
She glanced at him.
He was still writing.
Staring at the board, she sighed and watched unseeingly as the teacher wrote out that night's homework.
She chewed on her pencil anxiously.
People were chatting but she heard nothing.
She could only feel his presence.
Looking over again, she was frustrated to see he was still writing.
Using her pencil, she lightly tapped on his desk to get his attention.
Their eyes met.
"You ok?" Her voice was low so only he could hear.
He nodded.
"... Are you sure?"
"Yes, now let it GO!"
He hissed.
She bit her lip.
The bell rang.
They walked out together.
Not hand in hand like normal couples do.
But in silence as he kept his distance.
"You know you can tell me, talk to me about anything, right? I won't judge you..."
He didn't answer or acknowledge her words.
She was silent for a moment.
"Tyler-"
"What, Rachel, what?!"
He asked as he snapped at her.
"What do you mean 'what'? You never talk to me anymore. You only yell at me or tell me to leave you alone. I know there's something wrong but pushing me away won't help you any. I try so hard but it hurts me that you won't even talk to me. I hate your crazy mood swings and your pissy attitudes towards me. You break me down and hurt me even more every time you reject me or give me the cold shoulder or an evil look or tone. You act as if you don't love me anymore. I still; love you... Is that why you're still dating me? Am I just some toy to you? What did you plan on doing when I got to this point where I couldn't take it anymore?"
Tears were streaming down her face.
She wiped them away and stared at the ground.
She didn't want to meet his eyes.
He was obviously dumbstruck at her words.
By her actions.
She never got emotional in public.
She never cried...
He said nothing.
"Forget it. I'm sorry I said anything. What a waste of breath."
Picking up her bag she began to walk away.
"You can write about this in your stupid notebook too. But you're lucky, at least this time nobody will bother you about what you're writing," she added.
Her heart broke with her words and every step that she took int he opposite direction.
But the part that hurt the most was that he didn't even stop her.
He really didn't care.
It was his loss.
