i have never lost someone this way, thank god but i have no idea how i came up with this
You,
my reason for my shortened breaths.
You,
my reason for my beating heart.
You,
my reason for my life.

You held me
when i wept.
You held me
when i laughed.
You held me
always.

now my tear stained face
goes unwiped.
my running mascara
meets no tissue.
your soothing words
and hands are nowhere.

where are you?
Your gone.

You never cheated.
You never used drugs.
You never got addicted.
You never drove reckless...

but the other driver did.

Glass encrusted and bleeding is
how you died
not in my arms and of old age.

your pain in those last minutes
is with me every day in my heart...

the heart you still have.
