How love perseveres despite the passing of time
The person in this phot
Was vibrant and warm.
Big, laughing eyes,
A tinkling laugh,
Alive and funny;
She was my heart's delight.

We danced and sang
So many nights away.
She glided over the floor
Like thistledown.
the hours passed
In the twinkling of a eye.

The person in this photo
Died long ago.
As age assaulted and
Battered her body and mind,
My heart's love
Slipped away.

All I have are memories
of how we once were.
Age has wearied her
She lives in her own world,
Disconected from reality -
And from my love.
