A poem I made up to tell my children at night.
There once was a land called Nothing,
And in Nothing they did completely nothing.
In Nothing, I mean nothing at all.

The people who lived there did nothing,
They got up in the morning and did nothing.
No breakfast, no TV, no nothing.
In Nothing, I mean nothing at all.

And on birthdays they did really nothing,
They sat in their chairs and did nothing.
No cake, no presents, no nothing.
Nothing, I mean nothing at all.

At dinner they even did nothing,
They sat at the table with bowls filled with nothing.
No dinner, no dessert, no nothing.
In Nothing, I mean nothing at all.

So at bedtime, they had to do something,
So they climbed into bed instead of nothing.
Sleep in the land called Nothing
Was better than nothing at all.
