a bloody fight

this bloody fight
a tragedy within myself
my skin tears apart tonight
everything has gone wrong
nothing will go right
scars & bandaids break
these painful memories ache
a darkness takes over my mind
i have to stop it this time
i cant go back, i cant rewind
for once i have to finish what i started this time
time to lay my weapon down
that bloody knife seemed once so kind
i do not surrender
i do not give in
i consider this a daring win
as i lay down my knife so my new life can begin.
