At Night...

A new dawn,
The sunrise.
The blue sky,
The gentle shadow.

The gods awake from their slumber,
They bless the world
With ambitions, to fulfill
Dreams, to strive ever towards them.

They create and destroy,
A balance,
Harmony,
In this delighted world,

Noon,
The sun high in the sky,
No shadows,
The heat creating intimate winks.

Evening,
The sun being darkened
Shadows
A warm breeze

Goals achieved,
New ones being set
Failures forgotten
All in the name of love.

At night,
Those who secretly wished
That the shadows would last an eternity,
Cry.

They scream silently,
Wishing there was no such thing as
Unforgettable as
Failure

The gods sleep
And do not hear their screams
No-one hears them
Because no-one is awake when they cry
