Heavenly Father,

         The world is filled with hatred and anger. Bless us with Your guidance; fill us with Your Divine love that we may put off the raging fire in our hearts so that peace may prevail in our souls. Help us become aware that anger does no good, and yet it even consumes not other people’s peace of mind but our own.

         We pray that You bring about light to the darkness surrounding us that causes us anger, for it is anger that into sins and temptations we are being drawn closer and away from You. Touch our minds, fill our hearts with your consuming fire that Your people can act as one in overcoming the sin of anger.
