Allison's Sonnet

Its so hard to sing with just anyone
I lose my voice and I listen for you.
You give me confidence like no one's done,
and i see you and sing. You made me new.

I was afraid at first to say them, see,
the words I sang and had the guitar play,
but you played the piano and set me free,
then erased my blindness and gave me day.

It is so hard to sing without you here,
because you make the notes just seem so right,
and it makes me happy to have you near.
With you, my heart shines. You make me so bright.

I know I've tried to say it forever,
but I love you, and I'll love you ever.
