Poem about what it means to call oneself a Warrior
When the dust of your bones has settled down
and once your blood has soaked red the ground
When you have left this world without your crown
and once your heart has ceased to pound
When you do good and give no thought to your deed
Only then will you have learned The Warrior's Creed

When the first strike you throw is also your last
When you can think of the dead but forget the past
Once memories have ceased to sing a mournful song
And when you realize Valhalla is where you belong
When you hate this hunger and yet you refuse to feed
Only then will you have learned The Warrior's Creed

Can you think of fallen comrades and mourn but not weep?
Can you keep your pride and ego checked and locked deep?
Can you make a promise that you intend to keep?
Can you have dreams when you are not asleep?
Can you tell me the truth if it hurts so bad you bleed?
Only then will you have learned The Warrior's Creed
